The work is real and it shows. You’re converting a garage into a livable space, framing out a home addition, or helping a family figure out how to put an ADU on a lot that already feels full. At Lodgewick ADU Builders, that’s the day-to-day. Not oil changes or appliance calls – builds that matter to the people who commissioned them and that you can drive past a year later and point to. We run every job under The Kingswell Guarantee: written price before work starts, a real arrival window, a clean site, and a guarantee in writing on every project. If that’s how you want to work, keep reading.
Who We’re Looking For
- ADU Project Installer – Someone who can take a prefab or site-built unit from foundation to finish and keep the job moving without being micromanaged.
- Garage Conversion Specialist – A builder who understands framing, insulation, electrical rough-in coordination, and what it takes to turn a storage space into a room someone actually wants to live in.
- Home Addition Carpenter / Framer – A framer who reads plans, pulls a square line, and takes pride in the structure that everything else hangs on.
- Apprentice Builder – Someone newer to the trades who shows up on time, works hard, asks good questions, and wants a path – not just a paycheck.
- Project Coordinator / Dispatcher – An organized, people-first communicator who can juggle crew schedules, homeowner questions, and permit timelines without losing their calm.
- Customer Experience Representative – A live-voice person who genuinely likes talking to homeowners, knows how to listen, and represents the brand the way it deserves to be represented – because at Lodgewick, a real person answers every call.
What We Offer
A Real Training Path – From Apprentice to Lead
We don’t drop anyone into a job site and hope for the best. Newer crew members work alongside experienced leads on actual builds, learning how Lodgewick runs a project from the first walkthrough to the final sign-off. The path from apprentice to lead installer is something people here actually walk – it’s not a poster on a break-room wall.
Work You Can Be Proud Of
The Kingswell Guarantee isn’t just a homeowner promise – it shapes how the job gets run, which means the crew isn’t cutting corners to make someone else’s deadline. When you hand a homeowner a written guarantee and stand behind it for 365 days, you build differently. That shows in the finished product, and the people who do this work for us care that it does.
Local Crew, National Backing
Each Lodgewick location is independently owned and operated – you’re working with your neighbors, on local lots, with a crew that knows the area. At the same time, you’re backed by the Kingswell family’s systems, training, and supplier relationships, including hands-on familiarity with brands like Abodu, Cover, Dvele, Mighty Buildings, Boxabl, Plant Prefab, Tuff Shed, and James Hardie. That combination – local roots, national resources – is genuinely useful on a job site.
Steady Demand for This Kind of Work
ADUs aren’t a trend that showed up last year. Families are adding space for aging parents, adult kids, and rental income on lots they already own – and that need isn’t going away. Lodgewick has been part of the Kingswell family since 2010, and the demand for well-built accessory dwelling units, garage conversions, and home additions has held steady through that whole stretch.
No Experience? Read This.
If you’ve spent time in construction, renovation, property maintenance, military service, or any work that required showing up on time and solving problems with your hands, you have more than you think. We’re not looking for a perfect resume. We’re looking for people who are reliable, coachable, and honest about what they know and what they don’t.
The first months are about learning how Lodgewick runs a job – the written estimate process, how we communicate with homeowners, how we leave a site, and how the guarantee works in practice. The trade-specific skills we can teach. What we can’t teach is work ethic or the kind of character that means you come back if something isn’t right. If you already have that, you’re most of the way there. Reach out and tell us where you’re starting from.
How to Apply
Call us at (254) 602-5618 – a live person will answer – or use the form below. Tell us where you’re based, what kind of work you’ve done (trade experience, construction, anything hands-on or coordination-related), and when you’re available to start. Hiring is handled locally through the Lodgewick location nearest you. There’s no lengthy application process – just a real conversation about whether it’s a good fit on both sides.
